Discovered by Schuster in 1976.
The Eridanus Globular Cluster was discovered by Schuster on a photographic
plate taken on December 11, 1976 with the 1-m ESO Schmidt telescope for the
ESO (B) atlas (a 60-min exposure on IIa-O emulsion and GG 385 filter), see
Cesarsky et.al. (1977).
