The X Prize has been conceived as a serious, very
real, and very doable effort which can be set up within a year and won a
short time thereafter. The X Prize is a $5 to $10
million prize offered for the first human suborbital flight to an
altitude of 100 kilometers. Once this prize has succeeded, we can move to
