- What time to meet next semester?
- The officers went over their schedules for the next semester and found that monday,
wednesday, and friday from 4pm and after were suitable times to hold a general meeting.
- Mike will email members for their input as to which time would be best for most
of the general members.
- Meeting minutes need to be in complete sentences from now on for clearer understanding
of what went on during those meetings.
- The meeting minutes need to go up faster so that members that have missed a particular
meeting will have the information missed in a timely fashion
- The email about the NLL event will be passed onto the Astronomy club since the event
the organizers would like us to hold was more suited for the Astronomy club than
for the SEDS club, though the SEDS club will not be opposed to helping the Astronomy
club if the need arises
- The office remodel was not initially granted, though farther inquiry about the project
will be asked
- Mike will inform Susan on Monday that we are not going to the National Conference
- Kevin will make an officer due dates calendar page by the next General Meeting
- Kevin will also try to get information about making a forum for the SEDS webpage
by the next General Meeting
- A game night was suggested and will be organized by Mike
- The game night will be on Nov 9th from 6-10 PM
- The location that we are aiming for is Steward, but hat has not been finalized
- Mike will talk to Steward building managers on Monday about permission for hosting
the game night in Steward
- SEDS owed Mike $75.63, which he was paid in full by the end of the officer meeting
- National dues are paid to the National board committee
- LPL balance is not updated with the current status of our account
- The shot glass might be sold at another event since they will not be sold at National
Conference if we have no one going on the trip
- Percentage night will either be at Johnny Rockets, Gentle Bens, or Which wich on
Nov 9th
- Josh will find which one of the restaurants named above will give us a better percentage
- Josh will give an update on the fundraiser mentioned above at the next General Meeting
- Tax id number donations with the UA money account for monetary donations will need
farther investigation about whether SEDS wants to open their own account without
going through LPL
- Josh will send out an email on the listserv about the executive board position for
the National board
- UASEDS will talk about whom to vote for when information on whom are running for
the National positions are finalized so that UA SEDS will be able to vote at the
National election
- The Sonnett building issue was discussed in regards to the bikes that were in the
hallway
- From now on, the Sonnett building manager will be sending us emails so that SEDS
can be informed about the events and happenings that occur within the building
- For the food table, a specialty manager will be elected to handle the money and
other stuff when they arise
- Mike will email members to let them know that the position is open
- A new lock box will need to be purchase for the LPL food table
- Emily is elected to be the specialty manager for the food table, though if a member
is interested in handling the project, they may let either Emily or another officer
know so that it can be brought to the attention of the other officers
- Emily was given $25 for the LPL food table
- Josh will have contacted the members of the rocket project by the next General meeting
so that a meeting can be set between the members and the officers so that a specialty
manager can be appointed since the last special manager could not continue being
the specialty manager
- The format of the listserv will stay the same as it is now
