Other Appearances and Collaborations

1. "The Rainy Day Project" (1984) - This compilation was produced and coodinated by Dave Roback of the Rain Parade, and also features Michael Quercio, from the band Three O Clock, and Kendra Smith from the Dream Syndicate. Susanna Hoffs performs two covers, one from Bob Dylan (I'll Keep It With Mine) and another from L.Reed (I'll Be Your Mirror). Sue also provides background vocals on two other songs, and even fellow Bangle Vicki Peterson makes a brief appearence performing background vocals on one track.

2. "Belinda": Belinda Carlisle - (1986). - Susanna Hoffs appears on Belinda Carlisle's solo debut album. She co-write with collaborators Billy Stienberg and Tom Kelly the song " I Need A Disguise." Sue provides background vocals on the tracks "Mad About You", "I Need A Disguise" and "I Feel The Magic."

3. "Dangerous": Ronnie Spector - (1987) - Susanna sings a duet with Ronnie Spector on the title track on this album, which is Ronnie Spector's solo debut. She might also sing background vocals on some of the other tracks as well.

4. "Cry Like A Rainstorm" - (1988) - Susanna recorded this Linda Rondstat classic. It appeared in an episode of the hit TV series, "Thirty-Something"

5. "Requium For The Artists" - (1990) - Susanna provides background vocals on the track, "Falling In My Footsteps" for this collection, released on Enigma Records.

6. "We Close Our Eyes" - (1992) - Susanna sings this song, a cover of the original by Oingo Boingo, for the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Movie Sndtrk.

7. "Broken Moon": Lowen & Navarro - (1993) - Susanna appears on this album, by friends Eric Lowen and Dan Navarro, of the folk act, Lowen & Navarro. The trio wrote several songs together, including "I'll Set You Free" from the 1988 Bangles album "Everything." Susanna reciprocates by performing background vocals on Lowen & Navarro's version of "I'll Set You Free."

8. "Royal Jelly" - (1994) - Susanna guests on this Island Records act's album of the same title. She plays the tamborine.

9. "Now and Then" - (1995) - Susanna Hoffs teamed with with Go-Go's Charlotte Caffey and Jane Wiedlen to record the title track to the movie soundtrack of the same name. Susanna co-produced this track with Charlotte Caffey. It is one of several songs the trio reportedly wrote together. It was also the first song released by Susanna under the London Records label.

10 "A Woman and A Man": Belinda Carlisle - (1996) - Susanna Hoffs works with Belinda Carlisle again on this, her sixth solo album. Sue provides background vocals on the track "My Heart Goes Out To You."

11. "Austin Powers Sndtrk: The Look of Love/BBC" - (1997) Susanna Hoffs records a cover of Burt Bacharach's "The Look of Love" for the soundtrack. She also jams with Mike Myers and friend Mathew Sweet in the Ming Tea track "BBC."

12. Talking Heads - (???) I recently learned that Susanna Hoffs also did some backing vocals for the Talking Heads, specifically on the Head's hit single, "Wild Wild Life." Anyone know what year this was??

13."Scratch At The Door": Lowen & Navarro - (1998) - Susanna has a writing credit on the track "Do To Me What You Will." The song was originally titled "Old Boyfriend" and was among a collection of songs intended to be recorded, that Hoffs, Lowen and Navarro wrote together.

14. Fuzzbubble - (1999) - Back in Febuary 1998, Susanna recorded some backing vocal sessions with the power pop band Fuzzbubble. Their new album is due this summer, and Susanna is featured on two songs: "When It Stops Raining" and "Ordinary."

15. "Fool In Love" - (2000) - Susanna recorded with song as a duet with Randy Newman for the "Meet The Parents" Soundtrack" Sue sings the reprise of the song in French!

16. "Tear Off Your Own Head: It's A Doll Revolution" (2001) - Susanna records a rock and roll stunner of Elvis Costello and does an amazing job! The song is planned as the theme song for a new WB series in the works called "Arc Angels." Rumor has it that Susanna will be the musical voice of the show very much in the same vein of Vonda Shepard on Ally McBeal. As of this writing, this show remains in development and has not yet been picked up by the WB for the fall 2001-2002 TV season... though it could be a mid season replacement or be differed to the 2002-2003 season. We will have to wait and see!

17. "Talking Myself Down":The Go-Go's - (2001) - This song was originally recorded for "Susanna Hoffs" but has surfaced on the new Go-Go's album, "God Bless The Go-Gos." Written with Charlotte Caffey and Jane Wiedlin.

18. "Alfie:What's It All About Austin?/Daddy Wasn't There" (2002) - Susanna Hoffs recorded this take of the Burt Bacharach classic, Alfie, but with a Austin Powers Twist, for the soundtrack to Austin Powers in Goldmember. Susanna also appears once again as a member of Austin Powers band Ming Tea in the song "Daddy Wasn't There." You can see Ming Tea perform the song at Austin's club in the movie and Susanna plays lead guitar!! YEAOWWW!!!! ;)

19. Love Doesn't Have To Hurt":Atomic Kitten -(2002) British girl group Atomic Kitten covers this song, written by Susanna Hoffs, Billy Stienberg and Tom Kelly. The song was originally slated for Sue's yet to be completed fourth solo record.

20. "I Will Take Care Of You" - Susanna Hoffs - (2003) Susanna Hoffs contributes a solo version of IWTCOY to the Songs of Wood and Steel 3 Project, put together in conjunction with Taylor Guitars.
